  I believe that the greater percentage of JWs-You Will Not Be Able to Help, no Matter What Facts You Show Them.

  so i ran into this brother whom ive known for a while and the conversation led into me being invited to come back to the kingdom hall.

  we talked for about an hour during which time i explained to him 607 being the wrong date and a lot of other stuff including the child abuse cases in australia.

  but what i wanted to relate was the last few minutes of our conversation.

  You cannot force them, but don't give up on them.

  I know that's true, but right now I'm having a hard time wanting to help them. Yet I know I must.

  about a month ago i posted what had happened to two elderly sisters who were reprimanded by a couple of elders for crying because the jw broadcasting was going to be stopped at the kingdom hall and it was up to each publisher to learn how to use the internet.

  if you recall the sisters got together with my mom and talked about it and it resulted in all of them declining to make meals for the pioneers.

  Well a little while ago my mom called and asked me if I could do her and the two sisters a favor but I had to promise I would keep it confidential.

  So I promised.

  Next week I’m supposed to drive them all to their lawyer. Why?

  They are all going to change their wills and remove the Watchtower as beneficiary. They don’t have a lot but I know for a fact that their houses are paid off and they were willed to the Watchtower Society.

  NOT ANYMORE!!!!

  Facts that the Watchtower is not God’s channel of communication

  Facts that every prophesy the WT has made has failed

  Facts that the 607 date is false and Jesus did not start ruling in 1914

  Facts that the Governing Body is a group of delusional, old men

  Facts that you as a JW have wasted years of your life following these delusional, old men.

  Hope

  Hope that you will live forever in a paradise earth.

  Hope that you will get young and stay that way forever

  Hope that you can be with your family forever.

  Hope that the “END” is just around the corner.

  Hope is some powerful stuff.

  in it it makes the point that the romans did not crucify robbers.

  having since researched this it seems this is true.

  The JWs missed the logical step of remembering that Greek is merely a translation of the events and that the words used were archaic or at least not always compatible with what was happening in the first century. Anyone can look up anything in a book, but that doesn't make you a scholar unless you can use it like a scholar.

  Thanks! To be honest, the whole experience caught me off guard. I’m without words as to why most people in the organization are not willing to leave the Organization.

  I think it’s just fear. Fear is the biggest obstacle that is holding back individuals JWs from facing reality. Whether it is fear of the unknown, fear of losing family, fear of losing their social network that took a life time to build, or fear of disrupting the status quo, “FEAR” is the biggest obstacle that Jehovah’s Witnesses have to overcome in order to escape the Cult.

  What leads him to believe that a loving God would only reward with everlasting life.. those that preach false doctrines and are willing to cut their own family members out of their lives completely? How would an all knowing God who supposedly requires worship in truth, and to love your neighbor feel about such people?

  I'm guessing your friend has not lived long enough to actually have his faith tested.

  That’s absolutely true. No blood issue, no life and death matter that involves choosing their organization or one of their family members.

  I'm just sick of trying to help them wake up. I have had it, I'm done. They need to wake up on their own just like me.
